Job summary

Jackson Purchase Medical Center is seeking an RN for fulltime night shift (7p-7a) in Mayfield, KY. The Women’s Services unit emphasizes teamwork, communication and high-quality patient care in an 8-bed setting.

You will perform plans of care, document care, monitor patients, assist with daily living activities, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient discharge and education.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executes plan of care including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents all patient care accurately.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team, physicians, patients and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines including transfers, discharges and referrals.
• Provides education to patient and family tailored to age and culture.
• Advocates for patients' physical and emotional well-being.

Skills
