Job summary

Jackson Purchase Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med/Surg unit in Mayfield, KY. This full-time night shift (7p-7a) includes every 3rd weekend and a sign-on bonus-eligible position in a 64-bed unit focused on teamwork and compassionate care.

You will perform patient assessments, initiate nursing interventions, document medical necessity, and contribute to the interdisciplinary care plan while maintaining quality measures.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
