Job summary

UNC Health Care's Rex Holly Springs Hospital Women and Children unit is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse to provide compassionate nursing care in a Level II birthing center setting. The team emphasizes patient education, safety, and coordinated care for mothers and newborns.

The unit includes a 12-bed tower with a 2-bed Level II newborn nursery and supports nighttime shifts. Requires NC RN licensure, BLS, and at least 1 year of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• 1 year of nursing experience.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Educate patients and families; assess learning needs and teaching readiness.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions for care planning and discharge planning.
