Edward-Elmhurst Health in Arlington Heights, IL, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Women and Infants unit on the night shift. This full-time role (36 hours) covers 7pm-7:30am with weekend and holiday rotations, and may involve float to other units as needed.

You will assess patients, collect health data, coordinate care, and educate families. IL licensure and BSN/ADN, plus CPR, are required to join the team.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• License: Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
• Certification: Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
