Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Observation Unit in Arlington Heights, IL. This part-time position requires working nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend, with an hourly pay range of $36.00 to $55.80 depending on experience.

The successful candidate will provide patient assessments, coordinate care plans, and facilitate quality improvement initiatives. Applicants must have nursing licensure in Illinois and preferably an Associate's degree or BSN.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient and family.
• Coordinates patient plan of care ensuring interventions are safe and timely.
• Communicates effectively with all customers in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on thorough assessments.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
