Job summary

Edward-Elmhurst Health is seeking an RN for the Resource Team/Float Pool in Arlington Heights. This per diem role covers night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am, requiring at least 48 hours every 6 weeks and 24 weekend hours.

The position emphasizes patient assessment, care coordination, clear communication, and family teaching within a collaborative team at Northwest Community Hospital. IL licensure and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to ensure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly with patients, families, and care teams in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on assessment to meet learning needs.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice.
