Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for the Antepartum Unit on the Night shift. The role includes clinical leadership, patient care coordination for high-risk obstetrical patients, and involvement in safety and quality initiatives.

A BSN is required, with a master’s degree preferred if not in nursing, and BLS training within 90 days. Specialty unit sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 18 months of nursing experience required.
• BSN required; master’s degree preferred if the graduate degree is not in nursing, then the BSN is required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in the Antepartum Unit.
• Lead safety and quality initiatives and improve workflow.
• Support staffing and staff development to increase satisfaction.
