Job summary

MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Inpatient unit. The RN will provide safe, cost-effective patient care during 12-hour night shifts, following established nursing processes and standards.

Minimum requirements include CA RN license, BSN or waiver, and BLS; previous pediatric or women’s hospital experience is preferred. A signing bonus of $5,000 is available to external hires meeting requirements.

Qualifications

• BSN required unless waived.
• Current California RN license.
• BLS certification required for all areas.
• Unit orientation and clinical competency validation.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, cost-effective patient care per nursing standards.
• Assess and develop plans of care for patients.
• Implement and evaluate patient care; update as needed.
