Loyola University Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a fast-paced Specialty Post Surgical unit. The role focuses on diverse surgical patients (ortho, neurosurgery, bariatric, plastics, colorectal) on a 32-bed unit with private rooms.

You will gain experience in prioritization, critical thinking and leadership paths, including potential to become charge nurse and participate in unit-based committees. Loyola is located about 30 minutes from downtown Chicago.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program (BSN or ADN).
• BLS provider certified prior to hire.
• Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire.
• 1 year of nursing experience (new grads welcome).

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a wide variety of surgical patients on a 32-bed unit.
• Develop prioritization and critical thinking skills; potential to become charge nurse.
• Participate in leadership training and unit-based committees.
