Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, IA, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our night shift team. Under general supervision, you will provide, delegate and coordinate comprehensive nursing care for a designated patient group and collaborate with the health care team to maintain standards of practice.

This role requires Iowa RN license, BLS, and comfortable with EMR documentation; you will supervise non‑professional staff and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Ability to document in EMR.
• Ability to manage aggressive patients.
• Night shift experience or adaptability to 7pm–7am schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide, delegate and coordinate comprehensive professional nursing care for designated patients.
• Oversee non-professional nursing staff delivering care.
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice within the unit.
• Document care accurately in the EMR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.
