Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Medical/Surgical unit. The position is 0.9FTE on a 7p-7a rotating shift, requiring current Iowa RN licensure and BLS.

You will provide direct patient care, administer medications, document in the EMR, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include assessing patients, planning and implementing care, and participating in unit performance improvements and staff mentorship.

Qualifications

• Current RN license recognized by the Iowa Board of Nursing.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) prior to independent patient care.
• Competent in computer data entry and EMR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive nursing care under supervision, directs patient care assignments.
• Administers medications and monitors effectiveness.
• Participates in orientation, performance improvement, and team communications.
