Qualifications

• RN license required or diploma as approved by state board
• 1–2 years related nursing experience
• Knowledge of disease state management, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways

Responsibilities

• Manages nursing resources to meet standards and budget parameters.
• Allocates staffing for current and upcoming shifts and adjusts as needed.
• Coaches and counsels nursing staff per hospital policies.
• Ensures time and attendance policy adherence and bed availability as needed.
• Coordinates patient placement and transfers to promote continuity of care.
• Communicates with staff, patients, and families to resolve issues.
• Supports unit policies, procedures and ongoing PI activities.
• Assists in staff development and in-service programs.
