Job summary

Henry Ford Rochester Hospital in Rochester, MI is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Night shift in the Stepdown Intermediate Care unit (003). The role involves direct patient care and supervision of other health care providers to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The nurse will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with the health care team. Eligibility requires a nursing diploma or licensure, BLS, and ACLS within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Current ACLS or obtain within six (6) months.

Responsibilities

• The registered nurse collects comprehensive data pertinent to the healthcare consumers health and/or the situation.
• The registered nurse analyzes the assessment data to determine the diagnoses or the issues.
• The registered nurse identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation.
• The registered nurse develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.
• The registered nurse implements the identified plan.
• The registered nurse evaluated progress towards attainment of outcomes.
• The registered nurse practices ethically.
• The registered nurse attains knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.
• The registered nurse integrates evidence and research findings into practice.
• The registered nurse contributes to quality nursing practice.
• The registered nurse communicates effectively in a variety of formats in all areas of practice.
• The registered nurse demonstrates leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession.
