Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts licensure and registration.
• Completion of an accredited school of nursing program.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS is current.
• ACLS certification (or current) in addition to unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to deliver patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment according to procedures.
• Develops and coordinates care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Documents patient care according to procedures.
• Develops and documents Education Plans for patient/family.
• Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration with other providers.
• Administers medications and performs treatments per policy and procedure.
• Participates in Nursing Governance activities.
• Supports professional growth and staff development.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and quality daily operations.
