Bliss 11 Step Down is an 18-bed unit caring for diverse, complex medical patients under the supervision of Critical Care Pulmonology.

Our nurses work in collaborative interdisciplinary teams, focusing on patient-centered care and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License prior to Orientation.
• BSN required.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to Orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care to Step Down patients in a fast-paced unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans.
• Utilize the nursing process to meet physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational patient needs.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and state Nurse Practice Act.
