Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, North Carolina, is seeking registered nurses for the General Medicine Step-down unit. The 40-bed unit combines intermediate and progressive care with a mix of medical and surgical cases, including neurology, palliative care, and inpatient hospice.

Positions are full-time (36 hours/week) with three 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a). Relocation assistance up to $8,000 and a $15,000 commitment bonus are offered for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN program.
• RN licensure in North Carolina.
• BLS certification required.
• No experience required; nurse residency program for CNIs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, and document professional nursing care per physician orders and policies.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other care providers.
• Assist in patient care and environment upkeep of care resources.
• Prioritize tasks and organize resources for timely care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement.
