Job summary

Duke University Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 7300 Cardiology Stepdown Unit at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. Open to new graduates or experienced RNs, you will provide nursing care, follow the nursing process, and collaborate with the care team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
• All RNs without a Bachelor's degree are encouraged to enroll in a BSN within two years but must complete within seven years.
• Current or compact RN licensure in NC or a participating state.
• BLS certification is required, may be renewed during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide and document professional nursing care per physician orders and policies.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Assist other healthcare personnel in patient care.
• Maintain environment of care and prioritize workflows.
• Engage in professional development and competency maintenance.
• Support development of staff and learners.
• Identify performance improvement opportunities and assist in initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
