Job summary

Tallgrass Creek by Erickson Senior Living in Overland Park, Kansas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to promote residents' health and wellbeing by collaborating with providers, the interdisciplinary team, and care associates.

The RN role is part-time (7pm - 7:30am) with compensation up to $44.00 per hour, including shift differential and float rates. We offer medical, dental, and vision, 401k with company match, on-site centers, education reimbursement, PTO and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months RN experience.
• Experience caring for seniors or with cognitive impairment preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and web applications.
• Experience with an electronic medical record (EMR) preferred.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with residents and families using a consistent caregiver approach to meet physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs.
• Perform clinical duties in accordance with state nurse practice acts and nursing standards.
• Promote resident independence by setting care goals and teaching residents and families.
• Monitor residents' clinical status and respond to changes to ensure comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with care associates to provide routine nursing care as needed.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and administer medications per orders.
• Coordinate holistic care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Document care in the resident’s electronic medical record accurately and timely.
• Participate in care conferences as requested by the Clinical Manager.
