The nurse reports to the Head Nurse and provides care in a school health setting. The ideal candidate holds an RN license in Connecticut, with 2+ years of nursing experience, and is comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the Health Center schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to students, employees, or others on Kent School campus as outlined in nursing protocol.
• Actively demonstrate nursing theory and practice to holistically care for patients.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to status changes to ensure safety and comfort.
• Document all nursing visits and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team including Counseling and Athletic Trainers.
• Maintain CT RN license and current BLS certification.
• Maintain professionalism and punctuality in a fast-paced environment.
