Cape Fear Valley Health System in Fayetteville, NC seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Psychiatric Emergency Department. The role covers nights and includes clinical nursing care, patient assessment, and collaboration with the health system staff to ensure safety and quality.

The incumbent will assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned, administer medications, and monitor care quality while supporting culturally sensitive care for patients with behavioral health needs.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina or a compact state.
• 1 year of Psych/Behavioral Health experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assesses the patient and identifies patient care needs.
• Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates patient care.
• Functions as charge nurse as assigned.
• Administers medication as ordered by physician.
• Maintains an accurate and relevant record of patient care.
• Recognizes life-threatening situations and responds appropriately.
• Establishes collaborative interdisciplinary relationships with staff.
• Monitors the quality of care based on outcome-oriented indicators.
