Job summary

North Central Surgical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a PRN Post Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post-Surgical Unit. The RN delivers comprehensive nursing care for post-surgical and telemetry patients, coordinating with physicians, families and staff to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Requirements include a Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS (within 60 days), and 2 years Med-Surg/Telemetry or 1 year Critical Care/Emergency/PACU experience; orthopedics/spine exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current Texas RN License.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification (AHA) must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Two years of RN experience in Med-Surg/Telemetry, or one year Critical Care/Emergency/PACU; post-surgical experience in orthopedics/spine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within RN scope of practice.
• Implement physician orders and administer medications safely.
• Document in the electronic health record accurately and timely.
• Maintain patient assessments, interventions and outcomes in records.
• Educate patients and families about care expectations.
• Adhere to safety, infection control and safety goals.
