Job summary

United Surgical Partners International seeks a Registered Nurse to plan, direct, coordinate, and implement nursing care for Post-surgical and Medical patients, ensuring high quality and safe delivery of care. The role requires adherence to federal/state standards and professional nursing guidelines.

The RN will respond to patients, perform Medical Screening Exams as delegated, and work within a team to provide age-appropriate care from pediatric to geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• RN license active in Texas.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications preferred or obtained during employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within RN scope according to hospital policies.
• Assess psychosocial, educational, and physical needs across age groups.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Develop and prioritize care plans to meet patient goals.
• Educate patients and families and document education.
• Manage acute and chronic pain, especially post-procedure patients.
• Administer medications with ongoing assessment and monitoring.
• Document and follow MSE and follow-up policies.
• Utilize MediTech for patient registration, orders, discharges, and drug information.
