Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Brick, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for per diem night shifts to provide direct patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will collect data, perform assessments, identify status changes, and develop and implement a care plan while maintaining clear communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team. A valid NJ nursing license and BLS/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire
• 1+ years of nursing experience
• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license required
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation
• Perform age and disease-specific assessment/data collection independently
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team
• Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized manner
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes
