Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Brick, NJ seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within an interdisciplinary team, focusing on complex patient populations. BSN preferred with a 3-year hire window; 6+ months of nursing experience or Nurse Residency required.

Responsibilities include data collection, care planning, patient/family education, and accurate documentation using bar-scanning technology; valid NJ RN license and BLS required; telemetry certification preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred, must obtain within 3 years of hire.
• 6+ months of nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program.
• Current New Jersey Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required.
• Telemetry Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
