Lurie Children's in Chicago, IL is hiring an experienced RN for Hematology/Oncology on nights. The role requires a BSN or higher and IL RN licensure with BLS certification.

You will assess patients, develop care plans, educate families, and work with a multidisciplinary team to provide pediatric oncology care. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, PTO, and more.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or higher required; BSN preferred or equivalent experience.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in Illinois.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff.
• Special certifications may be required by department.

Responsabilidades

• Performs nursing assessments using approved methods.
• Develops or individualizes plans of care and sets goals with family input.
• Creates teaching plans to meet patient/family learning needs.
• Performs nursing procedures per protocols and responds to emergencies.
• Communicates patient status changes to family and multidisciplinary team.
• Keeps up to date with current nursing literature.
• Aligns daily activities with hospital quality initiatives.
• Adheres to service standards and professional image.
• Works as part of the nursing team to meet unit goals.
• Identifies learning needs and seeks resources to advance practice.
• Maintains knowledge of disinfection/sterilization protocols if required.
