Job summary

Summit Orthopedics in Vadnais Heights is hiring a SAU/PACU Registered Nurse to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care for ambulatory surgery. You will collect and communicate patient information in accordance with applicable guidelines and support safe surgical outcomes.

This casual night shift runs 12 hours from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM with potential to float to other Summit centers. Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing (required), a Bachelor’s (preferred), ACLS, BLS, and PALS, plus at least one

Qualifications

• Associates of Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• One year acute care experience required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support required.
• Basic Life Support required.
• Registered Nurse required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, interpret, record and communicate pertinent data for safe surgical outcomes.
• Follow guidelines for providing safe nursing care.
• Organize equipment and monitoring devices for assessments.
• Coordinate with physician assistants, MRI/radiology, anesthesia and surgeon preferences.
• Revise care plans to meet patient needs and communicate plans to staff.
• Provide direct nursing care and monitor patient responses.
• Adjust plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
