Job summary

Summit Orthopedics in Minnesota is seeking a SAU/PACU registered nurse to perform skilled nursing assessments, plan and evaluate treatment, and administer appropriate interventions for ambulatory surgery patients.

The position is 0.7 FTE at the Eagan Surgery Center with 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, with flexibility to float to other Summit centers. Requires 1 year acute care experience and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS; base wage is $40.77–$54.34 per hour plus a full rewards package.

Qualifications

• Associates or better in Nursing or related field.
• Bachelors or better in Nursing or related field.
• A minimum of one year acute care experience. Current BLS, ACLS and PALS are required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Sup

Responsibilities

• Collect, interpret, record and communicate data relevant to safe surgical outcomes and discharge planning.
• Follow established guidelines for providing safe nursing care.
• Organize equipment and monitoring devices needed for assessment.
• Utilize available resources and coordinate with staff as needed (physician’s assistants, MRI / radiology; anesthesia, surgeon preferences).
• Revise plan of care as needed to accommodate patient’s specific needs.
• Communicate plan of care to other staff of the center as needed.
• Provide direct care to patients, meeting physiological and psychological needs.
• Continuously evaluate patient’s response to nursing and surgical interventions and modify plan of care to achieve optimal outcomes.
