Job summary

St. Mary's Health Care System, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Registered Nurse for Orthopedics in Athens, GA. The role is full-time with a weekend-option night shift on a busy orthopedic unit, providing 24-hour coverage while paid for 36 hours.

The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, lead the care team, and step in as Charge Nurse as needed, delivering patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing.
• Successful completion of a refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred in 5 years.
• Prior experience in orthopedics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care on the unit.
• Lead the nursing team and assume Charge Nurse responsibilities when assigned.
• Provide care on a busy orthopedic unit as part of a collaborative team.
• Uphold professional standards and patient-centered care.

Education

Georgia RN license
