Job summary

St. Mary’s Health Care System in Athens, GA seeks a Registered Nurse for the 5th Floor Med/Surg Unit to deliver patient-centered care in a collaborative team.

This full-time, 12-hour night shift role focuses on post-op and medical-surgical care within a faith-based, teaching environment. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care with adherence to standards, participate in interdisciplinary rounds, and support the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• GA RN license required.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing education program.
• Refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice hasn’t occurred in 5 years.
• Prior experience in preferred or advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop, evaluate, and modify the care plan.
• Perform complex nursing procedures within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with Care Team and Support Team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Provide care via nursing process, environment, and teamwork.
• Deliver patient care in a 5th Floor Med/Surg setting on a night shift.
