Job summary

Geisinger South Wilkes Barre is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a surgical/orthopedic focused unit. You will assess, plan, and implement nursing care for a diverse patient population and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role includes night shifts 7:00 pm–7:30 am with every other weekend and holiday, comprehensive benefits from day one, tuition reimbursement, PTO, wellness programs, and family support services.

Qualifications

Active RN license in good standing.
Ability to assess physical, psychological, social, cultural needs.
Proficient in care planning and documentation.

Responsibilities

Completes assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
Provides direct patient care including treatments and medications.
Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team to plan care.
Evaluates patient response and revises care plan.
Ensures safety and quality through education and adherence to policies.
Participates in quality and safety programs.
