Geisinger in Scranton, PA is seeking registered nurses to join a newly established Advanced Acute Care unit featuring private rooms. You will deliver direct patient care, perform assessments, and coordinate a comprehensive plan of care with patient and family involvement.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and ongoing professional growth within a Magnet-recognized organization. Shift is 7pm–7:30am, with every other weekend and holiday coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including treatments and medications according to policy and procedure.
• Performs assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
• Addresses physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patient and family throughout the care continuum.
• Coordinates and provides plan of care with patient, family education, and discharge planning.
