Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a qualified Ortho-Neuro Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse for the night shift in Springfield, MO. The unit handles stroke, trauma, seizures, and spine-related cases with a collaborative, fast-paced learning environment.

Expect close teamwork with RNs and NAs, specialized certifications, and opportunities for advancement. Applicants should be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with MO RN licensure, BLS within 90 days, and ACLS/Trauma/NIHSS credentials encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• Missouri RN license active or eligible
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire
• ACLS/Trauma certification and NIHSS encouraged

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and administer medications
• Monitor vital signs and document findings
• Provide patient and family education and support
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes
• Maintain accurate nursing records and ensure patient safety
