Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Medical-Surgical nurse for night shift coverage at CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO. The unit cares for adult and geriatric patients, with emphasis on neurology and trauma-related conditions. Staff collaborate closely with physicians and other disciplines to deliver high-quality care.

Required RN license in Missouri and BLS within 90 days. Nursing staff possess ACLS, Trauma, NIHSS certifications, with opportunities for specialty credentials and career advancement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN license active in Missouri is required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• The Medical-Surgical nurse manages care for adult or geriatric patients with medical or surgical conditions.
• Administers medications, changes dressings, monitors vitals, and maintains patient records.
• Provides education and support to patients and families and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams.
