Job summary

Banner Health in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Night shift on the Med/Surg-Oncology unit. This full-time role covers 3 twelve-hour shifts (7 PM–7:30 AM) with self-scheduling options, a generous 18% night differential, and a $3/hour weekend differential.

The unit cares for oncology patients, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation treatment, and collaborates with MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Prior oncology or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, and discharge planning needs.
• Develop and update a realistic, patient-centered care plan with multidisciplinary input.
• Directly provide and coordinate nursing care per physician orders and policies.
• Evaluate patient responses to care and adjust plans accordingly.
• Document care, nursing interventions, and patient progress accurately in the medical record.
