Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Observation In House Registry Nights. The nurse provides direct patient care to acutely ill patients, coordinating with physicians, families, and the health care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

The role requires a BSN, Illinois RN license, and BLS. Additional certifications (ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC) may be required depending on unit assignments, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and evidence-based

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
ACLS, PALS/ENPC & TNCC within specified timelines for ER/PCU areas.

Responsibilities

Collects and analyzes data to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Directs care and utilizes nursing staff appropriately.
Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff to coordinate care.
Participates in governance, committees, and unit projects.
Documents patient responses and updates care plans based on evaluation.
Uses evidence and research to guide nursing practice.
