The Level II Competent Registered Nurse at Mary Washington Healthcare is clinically able to care for patients and collaborate with the healthcare team to improve quality of care. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice and responsible nursing care for an assigned patient group using the nursing process.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, a minimum of two years RN experience, and Virginia RN licensure (or reciprocal).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Valid RN License from Virginia or reciprocal compact state.
• BSN is preferred.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire; ACLS within 6 months.
• NIHSS (Bluecloud) required within 90 days.

Responsabilités

• Direct and coordinate nursing care with interdisciplinary teamwork to achieve patient outcomes.
• Coordinate involvement of patient and family in care and discharge planning.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with health team members.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality improvement activities.
• Participate in orientation of new staff and in hospital/unit policy development.
