Job summary

Texas Health HEB in Bedford, TX is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Mother/Baby unit to support family-centered care. Shifts are 7:00 pm–7:00 am, 24 hours per week, with 2-12 hour night shifts. The role requires an RN license, an associate degree or diploma, and BCLS, with NRP and CPI expected within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• 1 year Mother/Baby experience preferred
• BCLS required prior to independent patient care; NRP and CPI within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
• Initiates information needs for patient/significant others
• Maintains continuity of care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and during transfers
