Job summary

Texas Health Resources, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Mother Baby unit at Texas Health HEB in Bedford, TX. This full-time night position includes 36 hours per week with 3-12 hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

You will deliver patient care using the Nursing Process, assess needs, plan and implement interventions, and maintain continuity of care through shifts and transfers. Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma, RN licensure, BCLS, NRP and CPI

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• RN - Registered Nurse licensure required at hire.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire.
• 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req
• 1 year of Mother/Baby experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
