Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lake Pointe in Rowlett, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Mother Baby unit. You will oversee patient care in antepartum, GYN surgical, and postpartum populations with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license is required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Mother Baby RN experience.
• BLS or obtain within 30 days of hire/transfer.
• NRP or obtain within 60 days of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• As an RN, conduct detailed clinical assessments and create, implement, and evaluate care plans; adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members; document learning needs and provide ongoing guidance.
• Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly; coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective patient care.
