Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Mother Baby unit on the night shift. The RN will lead the care team, establish personalized plans, and coordinate with physicians to deliver evidence-based care.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure is required; BSN preferred. CPI certification within 3 months for specific areas may be required. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required. 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in applicable state required. CPI certification within three months of hire required for Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, and CSSO.
• If RN license inactive or lapsed, refresher course required prior to reactivating license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate a patient care plan.
• Provide and document care under supervision of Nurse Manager.
• Navigate patient care journeys with compassion and evidence-based practice.
• Prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients efficiently.
