Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Texas seeks a competent nurse for the Medsurg, Telemetry and Intermediate Care units. The nurse practices independently, follows patient treatment plans and demonstrates ongoing clinical development within the nursing process.

The role involves administering medications, documenting care, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the care team. Per Diem, 7PM–7AM shifts. Requires RN license, BLS, ACLS and 2+ years in Medsurg/Telemetry/Intermediate Care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication and care.
• Educates patients, families and/or caregivers on learning needs and resources.
