Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Texas seeks a competent Nurse to practice independently in the same or similar clinical setting, providing routine and complex care and supporting long-range goals.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care using the nursing process, administer medications per protocol, document thoroughly, and educate patients and families. Per diem, night shift, with required licenses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current PALS certification required
• Current TNCC certification required

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families per practice level.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families and caregivers; identifies issues and resources.
