Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking a Clinical Staff Nurse for MedSurg/Tele on the 5th Floor. The RN provides high-quality patient-centered care following the Watson Model, 12-hour shift accountability, and engages in interdisciplinary collaboration to meet age-specific needs.

The role requires active participation in quality initiatives, SBAR handoffs, and adherence to hospital policies. Current California RN license, BLS/ACLS, and ongoing learning are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Nursing degree preferred.
• Associate in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or equivalent.
• Internal MLKCH Versant Nurse Residency Program will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Use nursing process to assess and plan care; anticipate needs.
• Prioritize and organize patient care; SBAR hand-offs.
• Provide age-appropriate care; apply Watson Model of Care and evidence.
• Maintain documentation in IPOC and hospital records.
• Coordinate with Care Managers for discharge planning; collaborate with team.
