Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, seeks a Registered Nurse for a temporary Medicine Stepdown assignment across Vanderbilt University Hospital and Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital. Night shifts 7p-7a, $75/hr, 36–40 hours/week as unit needs.

The Staffing Collaborative ensures coverage for peak scheduling; assignment ends 01/09/2027. Requires RN licensure, nursing degree, 1 year Medicine Stepdown experience; BLS/ACLS/PALS.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Required
• Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program (or equivalent experience)
• 1 year of Medicine Stepdown RN experience, Preferred 2 or more years of recent Medicine Stepdown RN experience

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient’s care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient’s progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
