Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Glendale Heights, IL is seeking a registered nurse for full-time night shift. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families while collaborating with the healthcare team.

A valid IL RN license and BLS are required, with nursing experience preferred. Excellent benefits are provided, including day-one coverage and a Clinical Ladder for advancement.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Illinois (or eligible)
• BLS certification required
• Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills
• Ability to monitor and respond to patient needs promptly
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments across physiological, psychological, and sociocultural factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and adjust as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and self-care.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure safe, effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in medical records and ensure compliance with policies.
• Respond to code situations promptly and participate in patient safety initiatives.
