AdventHealth in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Registered Nurse for Medical-Surgical, full-time nights. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• RN license and BLS certification required.
• 1+ year of acute care experience preferred.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; regularly reassess and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per orders and protocols; monitor for adverse effects.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Coordinate with medical staff and other departments to ensure safe, effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient data and care activities in the medical record.
• Evaluate outcomes and adjust care plans to improve patient health.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are met at all times.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to the care team as appropriate.
• Engage in continuous professional development and performance improvement.
