Prime Healthcare Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit, working nights 7p-7a with weekend and holiday rotation. You will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, provide direct care, and guide patient/family teaching, coordinating with other nursing staff to uphold standards of care.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license with BLS, ACLS within 30 days, and basic arrhythmia interpretation; BSN preferred and

Qualifications

Current and valid state RN License.
BLS certificate on hire and maintained.
ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
Ventilator Management experience preferred.
BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. Communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
