Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Germantown, MD, is seeking a part-time Clinical Nurse for Med/Surg/Telemetry. The role covers 7pm–7am night shifts on a 24-hour weekly schedule in a 30-bed unit with a vRN support model and CNA teammates.

You will assess, plan, and evaluate care for acutely ill patients, including pre- and post-surgical cases, while educating patients and families on multiple diagnoses. BSN preferred and RN licensure required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree required (BSN preferred).
• Current Maryland State Board of Nursing (or Compact State) RN licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration abilities.
• Competency in electronic patient management systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in collaborative planning, coordinating, and delivering quality care to medical and telemetry patients that are acutely ill; focusing on stroke/neuro.
• Facilitate best practices to deliver quality care and communicate results to the team.
• Provide education to patients and families for various diagnoses (respiratory, cardiac, GI, renal, neuro, endocrine).
