Job summary

Penobscot Valley Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for the Med-Surg unit on a full-time, night shift schedule (36 hours) with weekend and holiday requirements. The role may involve occasional floating to the ED. The position offers a sign-on bonus of $5,000, paid in installments following probation and first year milestones.

Candidates must hold an active Maine nursing license; BSN preferred. BLS is required and ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial age-appropriate nursing assessment (neonate to geriatrics).
• Develops and implements plan of care.
• Delivers patient care per hospital policies and procedures.
• Communicates patient care activities to health care team members.
• Documents patient care activities accurately.
