Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med Surg/Complex Care (6800) at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY. The unit supports a wide range of medical-surgical patients and requires strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment.

The RN level will be determined at hire based on qualifications and Clinical Ladder readiness; licensure, BLS, and potential BSN are considered for advancement. Night shift, 36 hours per week, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• RN level is determined at hire based on qualifications and Clinical Ladder requirements.
• Must have NYS RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred; 6 months RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality, patient-centered clinical care.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient and documents findings.
• Develops and documents individualized plan of care and services.
• Complies with policies on safety, medication administration and documentation.
• Revises plan of care based on evaluations and updates documentation.
• Completes at least one CRU form for Nursing Research Department from a recent US study.
• Completes a minimum of 5 nationally approved contact hours (CNE/CEU) per year.
• Maintains BLS certification.
